ook in Italy was created by Federico Crova, tour operator and chef living in Turin, Piedmont.
The idea was born to be able to give to people coming to Italy the opportunity of getting in touch with the most authentic and genuine Italian food traditions.

In this project Federico has the assistance of many chefs, all able to transmit to the participants the passion for cooking and for the Italian food.

Everything started in the year 2000 when Federico has opened his family villa in Elba Island, in Tuscany, to his guests.
The villa, built in the late 19th century and surrounded by 400 olive trees that are cultivated in the park to produce extra-virgin olive oil is an original country house bought by Federico's grandfather in the early forties. Federico still organizes some special programs at the villa on request.

Since 2006 Federico has decided to open another cooking school in Turin, his hometown. The location is the oldest area of this beautiful city which has been venue of the XX Winter Olympic Games in 2006.

In the year 2008 Cook in Italy started a partnership with Carattere Toscano, thus being able to propose its services at the Grand Hotel Baglioni and at Borgo di Pietrafitta in Tuscany.
