Reservation

A reservation is made when we receive a payment referring to a specific product with a defined price.
Usually before booking the client will contact us and will receive a confirmation or a proposal.

Insurance

All our packages (a package is at least accommodation + cooking classes) are covered by a civil insurance for events occurring to persons or things in accordance with the Italian Law (D.Lgs. 17/03/1995 n.111) and the CCV (International Agreement on Travel Contracts, Law 27/12/1977 n. 1084).
We also have a second insurance covering any event that might occur during the cooking classes due to inexperience or errors.

Payment

A 30% deposit is required at the moment of the booking (20% if the confirmation is given at least 4 months in advance).
The full payment must be performed at least 20 days prior to the arrival date.
In any case no service will be delivered if the payment(s) aren't regular.
The tours can be paid through the internet with a secure payment procedure which is available in a dedicated section of this website (instructions and details can be found there) or by bank transfer (bank commissions and fees will have to be charged to the client. We introduced the internet secure payment to avoid this overcharge).

Cancellation policy and refunds

A tour can be cancelled for any reason according to the following conditions:

• up to 21 days prior to the arrival date: 25 € (general expenses) per person + 2% of what received from us (the commission charged to us from the credit card company) will be retained. All the rest will be refunded with a bank transfer (net of bank transfer costs).
• From 20 to 11 days: 70% of what received from us will be refunded with bank transfer (net of transfer costs).
• 10 days and less: no refund will be due.

Definitions

• A tour, as intended in this web site and in any other communication from us, is described in detail in each single case, with particular attention to what it includes. It is intended that anything not clearly listed as "included" is not included.
  In any case flights are never included and have to be booked at a travel agent in the guests' country of origin.
• A cooking school, cooking class and cooking course is assumed to be the activity involving a tutor and some pupils (clients) involved together in a cooking activity. The aim of this is to transmit some of the tutor's knowledge and skills to the pupils.
• A tutor can be a professional cook or an amateur cook with good cooking skills and knowledge. The selection of both professional and amateur cooks is made by CookinItaly's staff.

Please note that credit card details (number and expiry date) will not be visible to us, they go directly to the bank.
